The wire will be washed out in a brightly lit room and forget it in direct sunlight its a very modest glowing wire and cannot compete against bright light sources

The electronics do make a high pitched noise so if youre putting this in a helmet and will be in a quiet area youre probably going to find it very distracting

You could also run them off of a 6v hobby battery or 5v usb power if you wish
