Pros

Leatherman is the best tool in its class. Comes with a case/cover, which many reviews say is too snug. All features are accessible if you are wearing a thin enough glove, even an insulated mechanix glove. File and saw are of usable length.

The surge is my daily driver. My first super tool dates back to the 90s, and it does just about everything i ask of it. If the surge is a bmw x7 large suv then the supertool 300 is a chevy suburban.

Straight-edge and filet knives hold their edge wonderfully and are easy to sharpen yourself or by a professional. Most times, minor repairs only need a screwdriver, pliers or a simple knife. I wish the pillars were spring loaded and it had scissors.

Cons

I have the supercool 300 and the wave and they both stick. Both defective for the exact same problem. Send me an email drafterdb at google mail.

The super tool 300 is so loose, that the wire goes between the blades. And only one installed inside by the serrated blade.

The coating makes the pliers stick so you have to pry them apart. Extraction and folding of individual tools require significant force.

I have this tool along with a maglight 2aa in a sheath with me and been using it for literally years

I like knowing i have this in my truck console as an on the road tool and it might be the multi tool i’d grab in a shtf situation

With multitool offerings there seems to be the marketing value proposition vs actual usability conundrum to the buyer

Having multiple multitools seems to defeat the purpose but they are addictive
