I must say it writes great with the fine nib but lamys fine nib looks more like a pilot medium nib which is fine with me

Love using fountain pens and this one is a reasonable price
The other day i ran across a youtube entry rating the best low cost pens and learned about the lamy safari

Comes with a cartridge so it is ready to write out of the box
Competitiveness
The best fountain pen for the price or even twice the price
Better than similiarly priced parker cross pilot

The nib is constantly covered in ink

The only drawback is that the plastic oring that secures the cap loses its spring over time so after a year or so the pen will come apart in your chest pocket

Writes well if you hold it in a particular position but if you hold it any other way it wont write well or at all
