    With a plain tail piece we could just switch out the nut with the one the strainer came with but you cant remove that nut on a dishwasher tail piece

    There are notches for clips and there are directions regarding clips

    However you can see where the outer 14 of the lip is machined to be flat whereas the rest of the lip is not
