Pros

The bass response is exceptional for on-ear light weight headphones. The bass is present, a little punchy, but not muddy or boomy. They sound best when used for music that doesn't have much sub-bass.

The build quality bring up the question of how long these will last, but that's my only complaint as of now. The mids are there, but not overpowering. For the price they are hard to beat.

These look and feel a bit flimsy, but that's part of the charm. I love that they are lightweight and portable.

It has a pleasant 'cloudiness' to the whole sound image. That is great when dog/cat/kid/spouse are running lose. I think that belongs to music-lovers and music-makers.

Cons

Porta pro is terrible at presenting the details of music, and the treble lacks energy and sounds suppressed. They bleed out sound so much that you might as well be using speakers. The band that joins the headphones is metal and it hurts to wear them.

There are two very thin copper wires going into the socket area where the thick wire goes into. Most likely, the magnet is loose. The plastic tabs that expand the headband started to loosen up as well.

There is no point in leaning on the koss warranty for something that only cost around $35. Koss expect you to pay to return their faulty equipment and then to pay again for them to return the (supposedly) repaired item.

The kostos are as good as the shures which cost me around 105 and they are comparable in sound quality to the akgs which were around 70

Ive tried several brand and makes of headphones

There isnt a better set of headphones under 50
