I have a thyroid condition that i need my temp taken daily or even multiple times daily to check for low body temperature. It tracks temperatures and symptoms.
Kinsa is better than a fancy stand alone digital thermometer, and cheaper too. It puts all the capabilities of a smartphone in the palms of your hand at a very reasonable price. Really like their setup.

Cons
Kinsa engineers & development team are unable to keep the android app and thermometer working when android updates. If you have an iphone you're fine but android users look else where. Rebooted phone multiple times, still doesn't work.
This thermometer is wildly inconsistent and inaccurate. It never gives an accurate reading. The readings are always different from one to another, and not by a few tenths, by sometime as much as two degrees.

I am using my s8 and it was a pita for a bit the secret is you need to have all volume turned up to the max my guess is there is a signal sent from the phone to the device and back and the volume controls the strength of the signal

The infrared ones were always fluctuating too much in temperature that i didnt trust it

However it started to have connection issues almost immediately and i cannot use the long cord at all but have to connect it to the short connector one
