The one drawback i can see is that when they need to be replaced the buyer must buy the exact same model if they are all to work together in a wiredin home

We were well over the 10 to 12 year replacement cycle but couldnt figure out based on product descriptions on amazon which model could replace ours and plug into the wiring already in place

Since these things need to be replaced anyway i bought 5 after reading the claim from kidde that the i12040 was an exact replacement for the 1275
