If this were meant to be only a daypack for hiking id give it fewer stars because id never take it hiking

The strap with the carabiner and the shoulder strap can both be removed

The zip flap that holds in the backpack straps pretty annoying as mentioned in another review

I am quite happy with my purchase although it came damaged missing two zippers and one fell off
