The clip feels cheap and part of the bracket comes loose if you unscrew the tightening bolt too much dropped it in the tank once and had to fish it out before my axolotls ate it

So i leveled it to the lid rest horizontal part of the plastic rim of the tank

But still to be extra cautious i keep the edge of the lid under the fan so that it provides a support in case the fan toppels considering the fans weight is minimal the support system will work

It was common to see the intank thermometer creep to the danger zone of 8081 degrees
