    Started to smell like burning holes after approx 5 holes

    Spade bits have nothing on these

    Unlike paddle boring bits the screw threads bore directly into the pilot hole and bits are cleanly drilled and do not walk around the drill site

    Because these are hardened in such a ashion that i was unable to resharpen the 34 bit i have as the steel was too hard

    I was drilling from an awkward position in a tight space and the bit got stuck in the wood

    Then i drilled another hole in an even tighter space using the same manual technique

    It would have been impossible to do this with a spade bit
