Water gets underneath with the usual working at the sink and that annoys me but it would happen with any such device

Fyi for those who are seeing signs of corrosion i know formed metal and wire parts very well and i do believe this is actually stainless steel although its probably one of the cheaper alloys and almost certainly not passivated
