However it has a weird chemical smell to it

This brand is supposed to be good saffron for the following reasons1this brand has passes the yellow color test when i tried it at home basically other experts say that you put few stigmas in water and if the water turns to be golden yellow then it is legitimate but if the color of the water turns to be red then it is fake saffron
