A book of incredibly detailed cutaways and wellconsidered textual notes this collection nonetheless feels a little thin and less detailed than the companion volumes created for the episodes iiii which possess a more premeditated backstory and are rendered in almost exasperating detail

However i would recommend all the volumes for children of all ages who like to dream and marvel over how things work or might work on earth or in a galaxy far far away

The only problem i had with this book was that it arrived with a significant tear in the dust jacket and postage is prohibitive ruling out a return

Of all the books even the phantom menace ics this book is at least honest in its look and unlike the horrid aotc and rots books authored by curtis saxton david west reynolds does not have an ulterior motive in writing the speculative information contained in the text

Some elements of this book are already rendered out of date by the newer star wars material

The ywings original outer cladding is far different from what the clone wars television series has portrayed

The ics shows a conformal cladding while the tv series shows us that ywings had coverings that made them look more like giant awing fighters and the small aft mounted gun was actually supposed to be a pressurized wwii bomber style bubble canopy for a gunner to fire it from
