After tinkering with the sim card i bought at a tesco for over an hour it turns out they sold me a voice only sim card well duh i had to drive to a shopping mall to a three shop to buy a data sim card and instantly it worked after popping in the password on the back

I took this on a trip to thailand singapore and indonesia and it worked as well as i could have hoped in all three countries though it took some hassle

Att offers data and call packages to customers traveling abroad but they are absurdly expensive for tiny amounts of data and what they dont tell you until the last second is that when you purchase them you have to purchase them for two billing cycles
