Granted it has a great picture with completely readable text on a wide desktop you wont get a good picture hooking this to ntsc tube tv as i did for part of an arcade machine project

It actually allows higher resolutions than my tv can hold and i am not sure if it is bad for the tv or not so i used the advanced windows settings and forced 640x480 for the crt tv i have and it works fine

If you have trouble with it cutting out and in try unplugging the power cord at the unit itself then plug it back in
