Pros & Cons
Pros
This is the teapot i use every day and even for company. It is much easier to clean than any other teapots i have every had, yea! It holds a surprising amount of tea. A tea kettle is used to to heat water for tea and a teapot is used for actually stee... Read More
Glass teapot is ideal for loose tea, although you could use teabags. Large brew basket ensures proper brewing. Easy to clean and brews a fantastic pot of green tea or a coffee substitute.
The handle is ergonomic and easy to hold while pouring. The micro-mesh isn't rigid but flexible and that makes it easy for me to clean. It's extremely easy to clean since it is dishwasher safe.
Beautiful, light, elegant design. The pot is simplicity itself. The tea pot itself looks very cute and very convenient to use.
It pours well with no spillage. I keep it on a cork trivet to protect the bottom and make sure it doesn't overheat my countertops. It seems to sufficiently handle very hot tea.
Cons

Highlights
Quality
Easy to use easy to clean best size for a mug of tea and suitable for all kinds of teas
Very well made easy to use for making loose tea
The spout is non drip and pours without a mess
It exploded into every kind of dust shard and chunk
Price
This item vastly outperforms the adhoc orient glass teapot bundle that i tried before it at a fifth of the cost
The only replacement lid is a questionable match on size and is 32 alone when i paid 20 for the pot and the lid
With all this its still a very low cost product
Shipping
First one arrived super fast and i loved it so much i ordered a second right away
Packaging/appearance
Its very attractive to look at and you can see your tea as its brewing
I translated the package since it comes in japanese but cleaning this it requires unscented soap and a soft sponge no scrubby ones
I was ecstatic to see that amazon carried it too and i have since bought six 6 of these pots for family and friends and a few f... Read More
Competitiveness
This is the third time i bought this teapot its the best for a few reasons
Many american non chinese companies want the cheapest materials for their products made in china so that they have a higher profit margin
This is a replacement for a glass teapot of similar size that i had purchased several years ago at a store selling japanese products
And best of all it has a similar shibui character to the prior one even though its shape is rather different
