I have used it for two things running a sideloaded youtube kids running the adult settings to clear the appstore storage and cache when it misbehaveda defect is that the critical all apps folder should have an option to be password protected without this it allows the parental controls to be defeated

After hiding the all applications tab my only issue with it now is that if you search in its search bar it shows you apps that arent on any tab

Discovering how to get things into a almost but not quite childproof state took an awful lot of effort

The new issue is that search still works and any of the all apps will show up there and theres no lock on the settings so a particularly smart kid could just unlock the all apps tab

Theres nothing here that you cant do on the fire home screen
