The camera attachment ring for the shoulder mount is separate from the attachment for a tripod

Bought this to solve a problem with a shoulder sling on which the connector to the camera uses the tripod mount fitting and precludes using a monopod or tripod without removing the sling from the camera

It also allows the sling to connect to the bottom side of the camera and this lets it hang sideways instead of upside down which to me makes the camera easier to handle
