I just received it today so i have no details on reliability and accuracy of motion based recording but at least on the basics there is a lot to love finally a highdef reasonably priced ip camera with true 3x optical zoom none of the nonsensical digital zoom which virtually all of the other cameras have which is nothing other than enlarging the size of each pixel resulting in worthless image quality

It also has what i consider to be another very important property namely local sd storage of captured image sequences

With most other camera not only are the cameras often more expensive but you end up paying for the camera over and over again as part of the cloud service which is needed for many of these if you want to capture video

If you have multiple cameras if you pay for a year up front you can capture up to 10 cameras for a week each for about 15 per month

Only initial complain is that the camera comes with very old firmware and the process of updating the firmware is an annoying multistage process that first involves installing intermediate and still obsolete firmware before you can install the current version
