It is a very firm heavy duty plastic that would surely protect from most drops if i were to actually test that with my new phone which i will not

The lip and half of the sides of the case are white not black like the back and you can see a little wave to the line around the edges see photo

The reason i dropped a star is because my charger plug will not fit in the hole
