Allows the rubber band to go under the unit instead of across the face of the unit which would make turning the scroll wheel very difficult or it would partially cover the display screen

This could be resolved by having the rubber band grove over two spots rather than just one spot in the center so that it would be held by two rubber bands distributed over a wider width of the player
