Pros

The evercool is a great way to upgrade marginally useful optical drive space to accomodate hdd's. Using an older dell desktop as a raid nas, this makes it easy to install three 3. Drives. Cages for 3 hdd and 4 ssd were provided to meet your needs.

The silverstone cs308 fits my case perfectly. It fits in in a cooler master haf xb evo case. It looks really good in my old msi raptor case, but the fit is a bit tight because of the shape of the fascia. For those complaining that its too big- duh!

It comes with a bracket for either (3) 3. Drive bay to triple 3. Includes outter cage, and a 3. And 2 frame. No complaints, three 3. Drives fit perfectly into the 3.

Overall, this device works great! Everything about this item is perfect for what i need it for. Very pleased after extended run-time.

The adapter fits perfectly into the 2x5. Thankfully this case has the two 5. Only complaint is the mounting bracket doesnt use the full space available in a dual 5.

Cons

The bracket is not long enough to get a second set of mounting holes. The holes on the side for attaching to the case were not tapped so it couldn't be * in. One drive got scraped trying to push it in. I wish this worked for me because i do have 3 har... Read More

Overall the quality is good and the design is well executed but does fall short in a couple of places

Ironically the solder joints on mine broke while fiddling with the connector to plug it in to an adapter so it will be replaced anyway

I removed the included 80mm fan and installed a noctua fan so i cant comment on the quality of the included fan

Competitiveness

My use case is very specific i put this into an istarusa d300

Works perfect for cooling hdd and ssd replaced the stock fans with noctua 80mm and keeps things nice and chili

Fan was okay but i replaced it with a noctua which was quieter

I replaced mine with a noctua and drive temps even through the foam barrier are in the lower 30s c
