Otherwise if you just use a just regular meat thermometer with remote it will only alarm when you reach the set temp

I always felt that wireless thermometers were overkill and just an excuse for being lazy

Bought to upgrade a older model wish the temp probes were bullet proof have had to replace a few on the older model
