The cans themselves are clearly marked with a red and on the other blue stripe around them for right and left designation

I bought these primarily for listening to music and not for hands free phone use i have not tried this feature

The metal tubing is very strong and i was able to give it a really good squeeze between my fingers with no bend or breaking whereas the rubber surrounding other earphones tears or disconnects with the wire
