Pros & Cons
Pros
Pads seem to have good rebound, but if you're hoping to have control over the alignment of the logos when you screw the pads on, it's not really possible unless you compromise how tight/loose you want the pads to sit on the tree. The pads are very dur... Read More
Although it takes a few practice sessions to get comfortable playing on, this setup is worth the effort. In the package it gives you enough pads to practice on a simple small setup. It still makes noise of course, if you have played on a practice pad ... Read More
I think the people at dw have recently updated/ upgraded the dwgapk to be a little sturdier than earlier models. Like a 4 piece kit with a ride cymbal. I have it set up with the cymbals with mutes from my full kit and it plays just like a full kit.
Each pad has a specific pitch that somewhat mimics the snare, tom and floor tom. A bit more padding in the kick pad would be great since a real drum head has so much more give.
Cons
It works great if you like to stop playing because you constantly need to retighten the arms holding the practice pads. Pads look weighed but are just a semi-padded head seated on a hollow “rim/shell” either way, my grandson was disappointed with this... Read More

The build quality seems to be solid with my only slight concern for the strength and longevity of the main twisting clamp the holds the vertical pole at the desired height i think itd be more stable with a better clamp

The whole thing goes together fairly quickly lt15 min once unpacked but i wouldnt say its a travel set up 34go anywhere34 as taking apart and setting up frequently could wear the above mentioned clamp out pretty quickly

Also if it were intended to be a travel set up itd be nice to have a carry bag to easily transport and store it

Positioning of the pads is a fairly easy but not necessarily realistic in relation to each other so while you can get somewhat close to what your kit might be set up like you probably wont get a very accurate replication of your kits positioning not a big deal to me since i feel its really more for just getting your armsbody moving around

Might be a little too loud for playing in flat
