For on a budget this grinder does amazing work to get the quality grind for an espresso shot
Works perfectly on fine grind with the delonghi espresso machine i purchased
If that wasnt that particular issue something else was that i didnt face with the de longhi
Competitiveness
I havent tried seeing if i can put any other kind of grounds catcher or a portafilter in the bottom but my guess is it would be messy
We considered the more expensive unit by the same manufacturer but ultimately decided on this less expensive model

My only complaint is that i didnt see much difference in the different grinds so i kept it on fine all the time and that worked for us

Owned the first one for 9 years and had no problems with it until someone in my family tried grinding a pound of coffee or more at one time and i assume burned it up

Not so easy to clean and it sometimes makes a small mess when removing the grinder coffee holder

The biggest thing is that it has a quirky safety issue where if the lid isnt perfectly set down the grinder will not run

When this happens it gives you no indication that this is the problem so many people erroneously believe the device to be broken when all they really need to do is make sure the lid is all the way down
