Pros & Cons
Pros
The material is a little like thick tin foil and is shinier than the duct it replaced (this duct feels thinner, although not certain if it is indeed thinner material). It's a hose, and it works.
Cons
Poor quality material. Hard to cut and flimsy. Why don't dryer hose companies use couplings at the end of the hose?

Also the amount of pressure you have to apply to expand the 34tougher34 ones is also the amount of pressure that dents them severely inwards so you cant expand them without also flattening them by a good amount which will lead directly to dustbunny build up

I looked down it after folding it up it was still fairly clear with some dust accumulated on the sides as does happen with anything ribbed

You want metal because the rapid prolonged movement of dust and air over any plastic will charge the plastic with electricity static charge buildup plastic is an insulator so it retains the charge over time without releasing it

It becomes like a battery holding the gradually accumulating charge
