Pros
Mary-louise parker is a highly talented writer. She is so eloquent in paying homage to those who supported and influenced her. My favorites include, hey miss girl; dear orderly.
Her writing style is at times literary and always captivating. She lulls the reader into a state of transfixed revery. Right when she gets to the point of rambling, she pulls out some real emotion.
Parker cuts close to the bone, staunchest hemorrhage so, renews limbs with feelings, and brings us all home. I love that parker writes letters. Divulging deep emotions and feelings about the men in her life and her personal relationships with them.
Cons
There wasn't. I think more it was the clinical reporting of various intimate encounters in elevators or public bathrooms that made me feel uncomfortably. I just wish i hadn't sensed a vein of misogyny in so many of them, for example when she tells the... Read More
