Pros

Circular vent is a joy to dust compared with linear vent models. Works well and is very quiet on the first 2 setting. It is rather loud at full speed though, so we turn it on in our living room on a 4 hour timer when we are not watching tv and never r... Read More

The unit tells me when it needs to be serviced, and servicing it is very easy. For the money, this unit delivers.

Three layers of filtration is necessary with cats. Works well, cleans out a room very quickly. Filters come individually wrapped so they dont pick up any objectionable odors.

Cons

Coway doesn't abide by their warranty policies. I thought this would make my family healthier, but not only has it not done that, it's very costly to run. The app was great for a while, the update that rolled out this week (10/24/22) is horrific.

The fan is prone to be off center and wobbly. The plastic cylinder fan will hit the side wall and explode.

When i plug it in now, it lights up makes its turning on sound, blinks the lights twice then shuts down. Went online to troubleshoot, nothing there. Was rushed off the phone with no recourse.

Price was great from amazon so ordered it

The price is higher and the size is bigger but it really works

Packaging/appearance

Finally relying on the wsj’s wirecutter i chose this

I check on the coway back up to purple light progress happening

Competitiveness

That is all i needed to know i will be buying another coway

Today i drive to his house armed with my coway

I can see why ny times wirecutter recommended it so highly

Unusual so i am returning the defective unit but also ordering a replacement unit of the same coway model
