It still performs as well today as it did when i first got it. Definitely exceeded my expectations. As long as i don't misplace it, i suspect it will see many years of use.

The mechanism removes a cork much easier than a standard double-hinged corkscrew opener. The hinged bootlever works well and doesn't slip off. The lever action is smooth and solid.

The cork screw itself is too thick, and is chromed for whatever reason. Cork gets mashed up on the worm's way in, and comes out mangled. It's only a matter of time before i rip a cork out and the thing stabs me instead.

This key has a few glaring issues right out of the gate. This is a handsome corkscrew and was a pleasure to use for the first 8 months. Thank god for amazon or i'd be *.

The bottle opener is trash. It at the liquor store. Goes to trash with no doubt. It is so unuseful and wastes all the wine bottles.

This is purely moronic engineering. They made the hinge literally work against you. The hinged pieces that sit on the lip of the bottle don't flex, so they're unusable.
