Because they dont sit inside your ear you will hear outside noise

For quality first two months of constant wear they fit perfectly and never messed up or were damaged the third month the plastic clips on the band broke off and the left ear didnt fit right anymore and i used moldable plastic to fix them but they fit too tightly now but still useable and four months in and no more damage

The lack of 5 stars is because the head phones as reported will not stay in place because of the battery and volume control housing is back heavy so i find myself having to adjust them every few minutes but even then it is not a deal breaker they fit
