Pros & Cons
Pros
Being able to personalize something like this is priceless to loved ones. I own many knives, higher price knives like the spyderco paramilitary 2 or the benchmade griptilian.
It's the perfect size for my large hands and very ergonomic. It has a large and comfortable handle, throws good sparks, and has a great leather sheath. As a woman with fairly small hands, this knife has a very comfortable grip and is a perfect size.
The scandi grind is most forgiving. Blemishes and edge can be fixed.
The blade is high carbon steel so it’s good metal also allowing you to spark off of it if you needed to make a fire in a pinch. The sheath is thick enough for some heavier baton work, but thin enough due to the scandi grind for finer work like feather... Read More
Leather sheath is very well made, looks good and holds the knife snug. Holds the knife snuggly, but not to tight. Same goes for the 90 degree spine.
Cons
Carbon 1075 steel is too soft for serious bush craft work. Bad news is, of course, that edge may not last for any considerable amount of time. I wouldn't have the heart to take a mercedes benz off-roading.

This is a seriously awesome knife that would still be seriously awesome at double the price i paid
Fair price good sheath added a dangler
The sheath alone should be the price of the knife
Packaging/appearance
My knife arrived dull out of the box
Competitiveness
Also used it a laplander saw and a mora axe for gathering a good supply of fatwood
I made a nice kydex sheath for it and now its about perfect

The reason i gave it 4 stars on craftsmanship is because there seems to be glue on the back of the handle right on the metal “spine” and i haven’t been able to get it off…

The grips shaped differently and it weighs 2oz more than my heavy duty companion but the weight and contour of this knife are like freakin butter in the hand and theres a feel to the wood scales that gives me a warm fuzzy feeling

These are troubled times with pandemic fear and civil unrest all across the country and the world and its in these moments that the us used to come together and shine but if the examples ive seen of american craftsmanship are any kind of indicator as to the pride we as a workforce take in our trades then clearly its over
