It has a large rubber seal on the bottom so it doesnt mark up your counters or move slip around

Long story short decided to bite the bullet on this even though it was kind of pricey as we just tend to purchase the preground up coffee in the bags yeah probably should get a grinder some day as it just speeds up things in the morning

We had been trying to fully squeeze the air out of the retail bag typically starbucks so the remaining coffee in the bag is mostly airtight and then we store it in the freezer none of that seems to work very well usually about half way through the bag the coffee would change to a bitter flavor and wed end up throwing away 13 12 of the bag

If you roast your own beans the canister is unable to degas your beans since the original version doesn’t come with a onevalve system

You need to purchase the onevalve lid separately for an additional 15 which is a ridiculous amount
