The first one that i bought lasted 4 12 years with no issue but i randomly unplugged the unit from the router about a month ago and since then there’s a small but very annoying rattle that comes from the fan when the unit runs

Since i got this it has gone down to around 90c and the keyboard is not too hot to even touch now

Its a little flimsy especially around the cords so i ended up having to replace the fan tray when the cords sheared apart entirely this replacement was bought on 19 july 2013

The aforementioned hp laptop has slowly but surely been relegated to laptop that sits in the corner and plays a video playlist all day every day and is never turned off for years at a time status

Pretty loud youll get used to that but if you record stuff in the same room it will pollute the background noise

It was about as noisy as the internal laptop fan that i was trying to keep off so it was a wash for sound level
