If you have a otter box or simular 2 part protector you need to add a magnet included between the 2 cases

I have had my note edge phone fall down a few times but it would probably work better for smaller phones

If you have a plastic case it sticks slightly but its better to just put the metal piece on the back of your phone and directly put the phone to the magnet not even through thin cases

The magnet holds it securely and it wont fall on the floorboard and become an unsafe item sliding around on the floor of your car

When it came to “sticking” my iphone to the noot car mount with its reinforced magnetic holder will hold most smartphones as well their cases is what sets it apart from other mounts the product claims seemed to be true

It snuggly attached to the air vent and held my phone samsung galaxy s5 well so i could use my gps app
