You can use the peelable sticky tape to adhere the metal plate to your phone or you can just slide it in between the phone and the case you have

When you have the metal plate installed you simply put your phone up to the magnet and it will stay there

I researched several different mounts for my phone htc one and this one intrigued me because of how it sticks to the ventsnot with those wimpy plastic clip thingys

Just make sure u have a case so you dont glue the magnet to your phone
