Note is is not a hot shoe meaning it will not power devices that draw power from the shoe

The baggy it came in had holes in it and there are scuffs all over this thing

It is a metal build however the cold shoe that attaches to the camera is plastic

The part that attaches to the camera is also a separate piece from the rest of the triple hot shoe and screws into the bottom of the adapter and it is for this i took off one star

It does not screw on tightly enough by itself allowing the adapter to swivel which is a tad annoying

I could also imagine plenty of scenarios where i would use it mounted directly atop the camera as pictured
