Hitch lock appears less rugged; however, serves the purpose of locking it down. Very sturdy and love the locking system. there were not many choices.
Each clamp has a locking mechanism to lock a bike in. The clamping arms that hold the frame are so much better than the hooks that come on the thule t2. It holds the bikes securely.
The tilt away feature allows me access to the rear gate and is perfectly oriented to allow for minimum effort when tilting away and back a fully loaded rack. The best part is how it tilts back to allow the hatch to clear.
