Pros

It holds an edge very well and is incredibly resistant to rust. Sharp enough and feels sturdy. I continue to sharpen after every use and works well.

Long, slender and very sharp blade is flexible but tight in the hinge. This knife gets alot more use in the field than my fixed blade buck filet.

Cons

The stainless steel construction is obviously sub-par as represented by dis-coloration on the blade. Once my hand that is holding the knife gets wet or slimmed up from the fish, it wants to wander towards the hinge of the blade to the knife. No so goo... Read More

I have a few buck knives and this just ruined my love for them. Makes you laugh when the box says forever warranty, maybe it is the box that has the forever warranty. Do not buy.

That knife was okay for the price but the blade was too thin and i wasn’t able to sharpen it to a good edge

Heading for a fishing vacation and like to have my own knives with me but a fullsize fillet knife can be a challenge to pack

Competitiveness

I would prefer a us made knife but buck is still a us company and one you can talk to on the phone

I previously bought a different folding fillet knife on amazon the one with the orange handle and black blade
