These speakers are passive meaning an amp is needed the power them they do not just plug in on their own

As with all acoustimass systems it is tricky to get a clean installation as the the acoustimass module connects to the receiver and the cube speakers connect to the modulethis leaves a train of 4 wires running to the discrete location of the acoustimass module

Plus high end and good quality sound bars were 400 500 dollars and up

For under 600 dollars i had a high quality sound system with a full 4k compatible receiver for slightly more than the price of a good sound bar plus all the additional functionality of having a proper reciever
