The app allows for many settings common in these types of bulb timers does not allow for specific color with timer and does allow for music syncing sync light to the song played music must be locally stored on device for this to work other wise you can use the microphone feature that will use your phones mic to pick up the noise in the room or whatever youre playing from spotify netflix etc and sync the light movement to that as well

All in all id recommend this one to others however lack of support for common apps like magic home or flux lighting are a bummer i have other bulbs that are not branded as such but work with those apps this one was somewhat of a disappointment in that regard

That being said its a good bulb and definitely a good holiday present for a family member
