Pros

Beurer's device uses a halogen bulb rather than leds. It emits a range of wavelengths, rather than the single wavelength of an led. This lamp gives off a strong infra red light, and does releive pain.

Cons

The goggle included in the box is a very cheap unprofessional rubber goggle for sun tan. Prolonged exposure to ir radiation causes a gradual but irreversible opacity of the lens. It also gets dangerously hot within 15 minutes of use.
