If you place your phone on top of the cable you will get some interference because theres not enough material around the cable but its not really an issue unless you wrap the cable around your phone or gps

The only issue ive encountered was cosmetic that the silver portion around the jack came loose and would slide up and down the cord

That happened within about 3 months but it didnt effect the sound quality
