After it dried completely i sprayed a little furniture polish lemon pledge on the stain and it was restored to its original chocolate brown color the water stain disappeared

Crumbs easily come off and though i havent needed to rinse them yet it seems like a wet washcloth or papertowel will be able to handle the majority of the mess on them
