Bought all kinds of branded and unbranded canning jar lids recently and theyre so thin its nearly impossible to do simple water bath canning without having the lids buckle and kink during processing

One of the things i found helpful after lifting the jars out of the waterbath is to hand tighten the rings so they seal when the jars cool down

Every ring ive installed with this tool was loose when i removed all the jars from water bath processing but the lids didnt buckle and hand retightening guaranteed a perfect seal

I know a couple people that have abandoned home canning out of frustration because of poor quality over priced canning supplies

Have to allow tool to do the workalso need to watch for tool lifting up on the topside of lid opposite handle
