It does selfinflate but i had to blow into it a couple times to get the firmness i wanted

Ill probably buy a cheap plastic tarp to use as ground cover from now on anyway

It is pretty slow to inflate and i always have to manually inflate it quite a bit before it suspends my body completely off of the cold ground

The only thing is that the bag that it comes with is super cheap quality and fell apart when i put the mat back in the bag
