As soon as i got them i put zip ties on the bungy cords so they dont come untied and i covered the bolt ends on the inside to protect my stuff both of these ideas i found in other reviews

Theres no rigid shell lining except on the backs of the panniers but for low volume and weight loads theres really no need at least not for my purposes

Shortly after i submitted my 1st review there was a response by anonymous explaining that i misunderstood how to properly use the top hooks she went on to share that there is a video on axioms web site detailing how to properly use the retention system

It needs a weep hole or two in each bag for occasional water intrusion

While they did not experience the brunt of the storm was able to find shelter during the very hard rain they did endure a moderate amount of rainfall and nothing inside got wet
