The two level of brightness allows one to turn it down as one cannot look into the light directly in the brightest mode and still see to work

Its a great light i have owned it for about 1 year and works great my only gripe with this light is the slide switch onoff geez i just wish they would put a soft push onoff switch rather than ridgid plastic they did it with the lowhigh on other side and its hard to thumb it when needed but hey i love this light and put up with it nix is perfect in any product im a fan but please astro if you see this feedback maybe make a generation design change on 12sl onoff switch

Throw that way and get two larger magnets from lowes and double stick tape them to the back
