I never shoot enough during my range days to have any issues with lube longevity so i can only attest that it will not fail during a typical non intensive range visit 250 rounds out of an ar15

I took it all apart and found that the recoil spring had been oiled with the wrong oil and had become really tacky

It has a good low viscosity and penetrates very well but adheres to the metal in a very thin coat which has both prevented any oxidation on unprotected steel and sufficiently lubricated the weapon
