Pros & Cons
Pros
Reviewer used arctic mx-4 thermal paste to redo the thermal interface on his laptop's vrms and gpu memory.
For cooling. The product is good, it is a good thermal pad. The thermal transfer if you read the description is twice of most products near this price range. It's a great performing thermal pad (cooling). It has good heat transfer.
The pads are not sticky as some might expect, but rather tacky and pliable, almost like a hard putty. The pad is not adhesive, but will stick or adhere in place due to its tackiness and can be easily peeled off when needed.
Works well, and wasn't hard to replace. Better quality than what was replaced. Not fujipoly, but for general purpose use, this is the stuff to get.
Cons
These are terrible for redoing thermal pads on rtx 3090. Will be asking for full refund. Only time someone should use this thermal pad is if it means it vs using nothing at all.
Highlights
Quality
I highly recommend this product for anyone dealing with the thermal problems that commonly plague alienware laptops
I used this stuff carefully trimming and in some cases stacking it to place the heat pipe grille fins in touch with the top and... Read More
I don’t have a temp sensor for these parts but they did make good contact with the heatsink
Mm replace it with the same thickness
Price
5 my only uuooff about this product is the price and no mixed mms sizes to try for a decent price
It is pricy price needs to come down slightly and offer more sizes in mixed bags for a nice price
Will buy again if needed but the price needs to come down some for multiple purchases at once
Packaging/appearance
I used pieces of this thermal pad to couple the vrm mosfets in my xps 15 to the chassis
Don’t buy more than you need though the packaging is just a plastic wrap so if you don’t use it right away it will dry out
Came very late but very good quality product i was expecting bad quality but im very satisfied with it and good packaging
Competitiveness
I bought these pads to change out the ones that came with my evga 1070 ti ftw2 they worked great
Cutting was a breeze using an xacto knife although i feel that they could be more adhesive
I have a razer blade 15” advanced 2018
This stuff dropped my average heat peak of around 90c to never going over 75c
